Simply because what you value as good attributes in a person are different to what they value. Some people don’t have that driving desire where as you do. Because theyre attitude does not match yours you are frustrated by it. No person is the same since we all experience the world differently.

Isn’t it ironic that you would post such a question on a site devoted to people asking others to provide answers or solutions for them, when often the people haven’t bothered to figure out solutions or advice for themselves.

My advice: Figure out this quandary yourself…

It’s called ‘Human-Nature’, to do the least amount possible… In our ‘culture’ of immediate-gratification. And the folks you are referring to, will continue to, be lazy minded, slackers until they have to “Face the Music,” and suffer their own consequences.

Listen to Bob Dylan’s “Like A Rollin’ Stone.” that sums it all up!

I’ve noticed this too, that the satisfaction of getting things done is a very rare thing these days. But it didn’t completely disappeared as I see from your question. People these days are all about getting as much as they can with a minimum amount of effort from their part. And this doesn’t sound right to me.

A flaw in their character. They want to be ‘taken care of’. Laugh at their woes and solve your own dilemnas. :>]}

RAISE YOUR STANDARDS.

MAYBE YOU JUST HANG AROUND PEOPLE WHO HAVE ENTITLEMENT ISSUES.

MAYBE YOU ENABLE PEOPLE TO BE LAZY BY FIXING EVERYTHING FOR THEM.

This is an intriguing question. I’ve found that when I felt this way (and I often did), the problem was with me and not them. I worked as a high-tech comm. technician for many years, and many times I was called upon to fix things other techs walked away from. It seems I was pi–ed off because I had to do thier job for them, but in reality I had unrealistic expectations of them. Everyone is made differently, and the things that are important to me aren’t necessarily important to anyone else. Don’t go nuts over this; if there weren’t people like that then people you like wouldn’t look so good (perfect). love, rat
