I would send a letter to the condo association.

write a letter to the mgt stating your case if you can get your other neighbors in too, better. See what happenes ,usually there are bylaws that are to be followed by all. if they are not they will be cited. try this first,if no luck contact the police and make a complaint, don’t let the cops just give them a warning make them document it so the next time the cops are called they havve a record of the incident. good luck.

Keep a log for about a month of all the disturbances and then contact your condo board. You pay those association fees for a reason, let them take care of it.

You are not being firm enough. You have to make it very clear to them that you will not put up with their noise. After 10pm, they should know they cannot be so noisy. Ask them to turn it down EVERY TIME. If they don’t turn it down enough, go back and tell them again. You are allowing them to do this by not asserting your rights. Be assertive.

If you have spoken to your neighbors and they continue to play their music loud, I would contact the managment office. It may also help if your other neighbors would contact the office too.

Check out your city’s by-laws. Then document every occurance of the noise (beyond normal hours). Call the police every time. Document this, obtain a copy of their report. You could then take action under your city’s by-law.

My daughter did this - worked.

Yes it is so unfair. Do not speak with them again. One should always go to the homeowners assn for help or the manager to preserve ones anonymity. If that doesn’t work, try to call the police anonymously. If you lease it to someone else they will be calling y ou in the middle of the night for help. It is a huge problem on this site i note from all of the questions about what to do. I fear for this so called society

First off there are noise ordinances, here it is 10pm. The police should issue tickets, which would result in a fine. I would talk to the building manager, and keep complaining until the problem is solved. If that doesn’t work call the cops and make them do what we pay them to do. If none of that works move. You shouldn’t be forced to change your life because of inconciderate neighbors. If they like their music loud they should have moved to the country.

Don’t move out, there are noise ordinances for a reason. Call your condo management office and call the police.

I would suggest getting all of your neighbors together and going to your next condo association meeting to address this issue. I think if the situation has gotten to the point to where you’re considering moving, something should have been done a long time ago. You should not have to deal with that nonsense, especially if you’re paying an association fee. Aren’t they supposed to address conflict and issues within the building?

CALL the police! Just because you think they can’t do anything doesn’t mean they won’t do anything about it. They DO get more than “verbal warnings”.

Complain to the head office as well.
