Nothing. You don’t need to explain yourself to her at all. And if you try to explain the situation, you’ll only make things worse by giving her a reason to think she should jump to conclusions. If she has any questions about the agreement between you and your husband regarding his friend, then she can ask him, since she seems to have such a problem talking to you like an adult.

well if your husband trusts you that’s really all that matters, it’s your house you can have whomever you want over.
