annoying mother in laws?

Have u ever seen that movie MONSTER-IN-LAW? its kinda lk that, she is trying to drive u nuts and it seems to be working…ur hubby isnt a kid anymore and she needs to stop calling sooo much. she needs to let him go so he can start a new life with u.. =)

I think the 2 of you are around mother too much. You need to live your own lives.

I think you are building up a lot of resentment and it’s going to come back and hurt you. Your MIL is closer to your husband because she has known him longer and that is natural. If there is something to be said, he should say it to his own mother. Maybe you are sending signals that make her not want to call you, so she feels more comfortable calling your husband. You can have some boundaries, but if cause a falling out in your relationship with anyone, it’s eventually going to hurt all family members. You should be so happy and excited to be bringing a new life into the world, and that new baby can use all the love from everyone it can get, so don’t destroy your relationships. Maybe if you called your MIL every once in a while, she would get to feel more comfortable talking to you herself.
