he’s getting a ‘c’? so? he’s going to school and getting a ‘c’?

everyone has someone in his/her family who is an embarrassment. be lucky he’s not an alcoholic or druggie.

Why would you not be able to live with someone who gets bad grades? Don’ even go there with your family, because in my opinion it’s silly.

You have straight A’s, great, you only need to worry about yourself in that department.

Unless he is raping you when home alone or giving you drugs or something, I see no problem

You sound like the most self centred immature snob that I have ever come come across.
Bringing down the family name? That is just stupid. Even if he was your full brother, so what?
Not everyone is the same, not everyone achieves the same things. His grades have nothing to do with you. You need to get over your pathetic, imagined trauma and deal with it. You are 2 totally different people.
If you are that upset by his “failings” move out. Otherwise, get a therapist and do some work on sorting out your over active ego.
Have you ever thought how he might feel when you behave like this? That he may feel bad because he doesn’t measure up in your eyes? Families, step or otherwise should mean more to each other that their academic achievements.

Smart people don’t judge others by there relatives. Don’t worry about it. There is nothing your parents are going to do, he either wants it or not. Just focus on your A’s, and remember what happens when you stop caring about your future!!!!

He may need to find his own way… I guess if you are a straight A student, you cast a pretty big shadow (You spelled impossible incorrectly by the way.) Whatever happens, do not single him out just because he does not conform to your standards. Which are a little high and snobbish if you ask me. Help him or leave him to his own. Don’t let your pride blind you. He his a part of your family too.
