I ignore it.
Just forget it, get another job if it bothers you that much. Leave work at work.
That’s a major thing of mine (my boyfriend also works with me) and we always say LEAVE WORK AT WORK.

I have someone who works here, but not directly with me. She drives me crazy. oh wait, make that 2. One is just nuts, insane, the other is a big attention who*e. I ignore them mostly and then when they force communciation with me, I act like a royal b**ch, then usually e-mail a friend and ask them to call my office line for a rescue. I should just tell them off

Administrations really do a disservice to their workplaces by allowing this to happen. One bad apple can take down the mood and productivity of an entire office. They really need to pay attention to that, but they don’t. They turn a blind eye and hope it goes away but of course it just gets worse!

I know what you are going through. I am the definant black sheep of my company - but because I have a family and care about them and would rather be with them than out getting trashed!
I just do my best to ignore it all - I sit at my desk, put my earphones in for my MP3 and work until lunch. I take my break, go back to my desk, and work until time to go home. It’s hard because I typically am a friendly, outgoing person, but I know I have nothing in common with these people and they don’t like me anyways!
And when I get a little bored and need to converse - I come to Yahoo Answers! ha!

I think they all just make you want to quit everyday of your waking life. I have a receptionist at my salon who tells me (the hairstylist) what I need to do with my clients, the real pain is that she’s a friend outside of work but in work.. I want to walk up to her and slap her across the face. The nerve!
