I am 36 weeks pregnant, and have a had a pretty normal pregnancy. One of my co-workers is also a pregnant, about a month behind me. She is 36 years old, smokes, drinks, and uses marijuana-she also had to have a cerclage (stitch on her cervix) because she started to dialate at 27 weeks. My feelings are that it’s her body and her baby, so if she wants to potentially do harm, then it’s her problem. However, she constantly belittles me for not doing those things and for taking care of myself by eating decent foods and drinking water rather than pop or sugary drinks all the time. I am not perfect, by far, and I don’t pretend to be. I have tried to ignore her because I know I’m doing what is right for myself and my baby. I don’t usually speak to her, but she’s started butting in on conversations I have with our other co-workers. I only have a week and a half before my maternity leave starts, but this chick is getting on my last nerve and I’m soooo close to losing it on her. Any suggestions?

Other people have issues with her to and it’s already been brought up with the boss. He says he will do something about her; problem is, she’s good at her job, even if she annoys the hell out of the rest of us!

That would mean we were all jealous of someone who makes assinine comments, gives mis-information and goes behind peoples backs…. hmm…. Jealous? I don’t think so…..
Confronting her is out of the question, we (collectively) have already approached our boss, so it’s our of our hands now.
I am following the suggestions of one answer …. music, mp3 player, ignore her as much as possible… seems the only way to go at the moment…

Ella tiene este molesto reír en voz alta y ella encuentra todo divertido. Su risa y su voz es tan fuerte que ni siquiera pueden salir de mi oficina para huir de ella - se puede oír todo el camino en el otro extremo de la sala! También cada vez que ella habla con alguien en el teléfono que siempre les dice acerca de su mamá morir hace 2 años no importa lo que la llamada es de alrededor. O si usted habla de un programa de televisión dice "yo no puedo ver eso. Esa era mi mamá favorito". Y, por último, ella sigue hablando a mí y me azotó con el trabajo. Cualquier consejo sobre cómo tratar con ella? He olvidado mencionar, dice "Usted sabe" cualquier otra palabra y me sigue llamando "joven" ugh ¡Odio eso!

We have the most annoying lady ever working with us. Not only does she mess up her job but she tries to mess with other people’s jobs. She is scary looking, she has an annoying voice and she spends the whole day feeling sorry for herself and trying to get everyone else to feel sorry for her. She lies about things and contradicts herself all the time. However, when she is dealing with customers she tends to sound like she knows what is going on although she never follows through with helping them and makes the rest of us look like idiots as we don’t know what she has planned with them. Anyway we are in South Africa and it is illegal to just fire someone because they annoy the hell out of you and everyone else. How would we go about getting rid of her without actually bumping her off or shouting at her on every little technicality - cause she also cries when we try to tell her that she is doing something wrong and accuses us of picking on her. Please help!!
