Gas Prices
President Bush: Wait, what did you just say? You’re predicting $4 a gallon gasoline?… I hadn’t heard that.”
— News conference, Feb. 28, 2008
What a dumbass.
When Bush took office 7 years ago, I knew the oilman was going to be helping out his buddies in the oil biz, but damn, this much??? 7 years ago, when he took office, crude oil was around $20 a barrel and gasoline was around $1.47 a gallon. Now, as of this writing, crude is around $135 per barrel and gasoline is around $4.40 here in Los Angeles.
All the oil companies are boasting record profits as the average American is struggling to get to work and back. Bush and his entire family are in oil, Cheney is in oil, Condoleeza Rice was on the board of directors of Exon-Mobile prior to being in the Bush administration. Who’s interests are they really serving? Ours? Yeah, right!
