Why do people love dogs better than any other pets?
I mean, why? Dogs can be cute but some of them are ugly, not very smart, they poop and piss everywhere and a dog poo is not pleasing to your eyes and your shoes. They are noisy and smelly. Don’t kid yourself thinking they’d understand you when they stare at you with their big gleaming eyes because they don’t, they just want their meal and go out for a run.
Some people love their dogs so much that they equate them with people or worse yet, put their dogs before their kids, spouses or friends.
Why don’t people worship cats/fish/birds/ in this extent?
What makes dogs so special that they are preferred over other animals, and over people sometimes (I think the latter is a crime, because it is unnatural to abandon your own species, figuratively speaking)?
I just don’t get it! Please help me understand! Thanks.
