I have these neighbors and they are constantly borrowing things or wanting rides here and there. I was raised to be neighborly but it is getting annoying when it is everyday. Once and awhile wouldnt be too bad but everyday. You dont want to be rude but what can you do for them to get the message to stop with the depending on you for things……I would just like to see what others would do.

I am 36 weeks pregnant, and have a had a pretty normal pregnancy. One of my co-workers is also a pregnant, about a month behind me. She is 36 years old, smokes, drinks, and uses marijuana-she also had to have a cerclage (stitch on her cervix) because she started to dialate at 27 weeks. My feelings are that it’s her body and her baby, so if she wants to potentially do harm, then it’s her problem. However, she constantly belittles me for not doing those things and for taking care of myself by eating decent foods and drinking water rather than pop or sugary drinks all the time. I am not perfect, by far, and I don’t pretend to be. I have tried to ignore her because I know I’m doing what is right for myself and my baby. I don’t usually speak to her, but she’s started butting in on conversations I have with our other co-workers. I only have a week and a half before my maternity leave starts, but this chick is getting on my last nerve and I’m soooo close to losing it on her. Any suggestions?

Wow, I’ve been seriously told. Thank you all for your kind assesments. I could very well be narcissistic. I’m sure I’m nothing more than ordinary. Sounds like some took this personally. It was just a question. Oh, I think I may be schizophrenic. So, sorry about the muddled wording. For the record, I did ride on the long bus. Maybe I just caught the wrong one……..

Some people love their dogs so much that they equate them with people or worse yet, put their dogs before their kids, spouses or friends.
Why don’t people worship cats/fish/birds/ in this extent?
What makes dogs so special that they are preferred over other animals, and over people sometimes (I think the latter is a crime, because it is unnatural to abandon your own species, figuratively speaking)?
I just don’t get it! Please help me understand! Thanks.

It’s not our neighbors that are annoying but their kids. Their kids constantly kick their ball over our fence. The kids always ring the doorbell to have us retrieve it. It wouldn’t be so bad if it didn’t happen EVERY SINGLE DAY and on several days, more than once. I don’t want to have to build a 10 ft tall fence around my house. How could I stop this?
