What should I do about annoying neighborhood kids who want to play with my toddler?

RickyBobby asked:

I have a 2 year old and a 6 month old, and during the day children in our complex knock on my door asking if they can play with my two year old. I’m usually busy with housework or cooking, and even when i’m not busy I don’t feel like going out and supervising. These kids are too old to be hanging out with my little one (ages 6-10), and they aren’t exactly a great example for her either because they steal her toys and are just plain rude. When my child hears the door bell she runs over and cries for an hour when i shoo them away. Now i could just tell them to stop knocking on my door, but they are destructive too, and i don’t want them to hate me and egg my house or my key my car. What to do?? It seems that reasoning with them won’t work, and there are too many to talk to everyone’s parents.
